Istanbul is the spotlight for fabric fashion

29In Premiere Vision İstanbul Fair, which is accepted as the most important fabric fair of the world, trend determiners both presented the Fall-Winter 2015-2016 fashion and shared trend tips with the visitors.

Premiere Vision which has the righteous fame among the most important fabric fairs of the world; held a magnificent organization in Istanbul after Paris, New York, Shanghai and Barcelona. International designers, fashion houses, ready-made clothing and chain stores that determine the world’s textile trend represented the fall-winter 2015-2016 trends to the visitors in Istanbul summit. Fair, which is agreed to be held in Istanbul twice a year, attracted both the companies in Turkey and international institutions. In the fair that had 66 foreign stands of a total 153 companies, Italy made a strong impression with its 36 participants. Participants coming from France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal and Romania, which are among the leading countries in determining the world textile trend, aroused a big interest in Premiere Vision Istanbul. Also, the visits of the procurement committees from Bulgaria and Romania, the target markets of the fair, were welcomed by the participants.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF TURKISH TEXTILE SECTOR

Premiere Vision İstanbul also created excitement among the umbrella companies of the sector in Turkey. İsmail Gülle, Chairman of the Executive Board, talked about the fair held under the sponsorship of the Association of Textile and Raw material Exporters of Istanbul (İTHİB) and stated that the main reason for Premiere Vision to choose Istanbul as the fourth stop in the world is the world-wide riveting development of Turkish textile sector. Gülle said “We talked about it for ten years and now we are hosting. We prepared the 20 billion dollar infrastructure. The arrival of a brand fair to Istanbul drew the eyes of the sector here. The arrival of this fair will pave the way for other fairs. This fair helped regional procurement and boutique production come into prominence. It created content both for the sector and the buyers.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PALYERS OF THE SECTOR ARE IN THIS FAIR

The biggest supporter of Première Vision İstanbul, UTİB’s president İbrahim Burkay made some assessments about the fair. Burkay, saying that Première Vision’s arrival in Turkey is quite important, added: “Thanks to this fair, especially Italian and Spanish firm had the chance to access the markets in our geography. The most important players of the sector came to this fair. Première Vision İstanbul will create a work load of 500 million dollars in textile sector.”

BIG OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL FIRMS

Though Première Vision is organized for the first time, Burkay emphasized that it received a huge demand and that the next fair will be held at a 2 times larger area. Reminding that as UTİB, they provide the organization of local firms, Burkay said: “The fair successfully attracted the foreign firms. It also crated big opportunities for the local firms. Especially North Africa, Russia and Turkic Republics will create a huge market in the sector.

153 BRANDS JOINS THE FAIR

CNR Holding CEO- Fair Group President Cem Şenel said: “Kıtaları birleştiren İstanbul, which unites continets, brought textile professionals together with Première Vision”. Şenel, stating that 153 brands joined Première Vision İstanbul, said: “Firms from Italy, France, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Portugal and Romania joined the fair. Besides, procurement committees came from Bulgaria and Romania, the target countries of the sector. Première Vision İstanbul, which is one of the most important fabric fairs of the world, determines the fashion trends within the categories of fabric, accessory, yarn, fiber and denim.”

THE ENACTORS OF THE FASHION IN THE WORLD MEET

Marzotto Group, which is the trend leader of Italy, one of the prominent participants coming to Istanbul with its senior managers, and Seterie Argenti along with Miroglio being the producer of printed fabric, Bisentino being the producer of wool fabric, Celrici being the producer of silk fabric and Bottonificio being the producer of accessory, put the spotlight on themselves. In addition to the Portugese shirt fabric producer Teviz and suiting producer Riopele, French Creations Robert Vernet, German wool fabric producer Kindermann and Austrian fiber producer Lenzing also were among the institutions arousing interest in the fair. Among the 87 Turkish participants in Premiere Vision Istanbul were firms like Akın Tekstil, Çalık Denim, İskur Tekstil, Sanko Tekstil, Uğur Tekstil, Kimteks, Kipaş, Bakay, Konak Tül and Saydam Tekstil. In Premiere Vision held in Istanbul; apart from the seminars for selectivity, high quality service and international opening rules, there were seminars where inspiration and trend tips were shared. Premiere Vision Fashion Director Pascaline Wilhelm shared personal inspiration and trend tips with the participants by talking about the prominent trends of Fall/Winter 2015- 2016 in “Trend Vision İstanbul” seminar.
